With a fleet containing a six cubic metre and two seven and a half cubic metre concrete agitator lorries as well as four tippers with capacities ranging from two to twenty tonnes, we are able to provide a quick and reliable service with empty space only being charged on agitator concrete lorry deliveries of under four cubic metres. As little as quarter of a cubic metre of concrete can be delivered semi-dry on our tipper lorries and we are able to reach most places and are willing to accomodate jobs where concrete needs to be discharged into a wheelbarrow or dumper (though only on agitator lorry deliveries). We ensure the quality of our concrete by carrying out rigorous testing on our product. Our resident concrete TechICT moisture tests our aggregates daily to ensure a good water cement ratio is adhered to in our mixes and regular slump tests and cube strength tests are carried out on our mixes to ensure we are above the required strengths (which we always are). We only use CEM1 (the top grade of cement) OPC in our concrete as it contains 100% cement with 0% replacement materials (such as fly ash). We also use 20-4mm limestone in our concrete as opposed to the commonly used flint gravel as we are able to attain a better mix.

Harold Doonans (Building Materials) Ltd is the largest supplier of sand, gravel and blocks to the building trade and private consumers in the Weymouth and Portland area.
